Known in office as a “Temporal Tuck” this band aid surgery is done to improve deep furrows of the middle cheeks and jowl area. It is intended for patients that have just began to show signs of aging, usually in the early to mid forties, or for patients that have already had a full facelift and wish to refresh or maintain their appearance. It does not address aging below the jaw line. Unlike a “full” facelift there are no drains or large head dressings involved. Only band aids for a dressing. Bruising is seen rarely and swelling is minimal. Intravenous sedation is used and a caregiver must drive the patient home. Return to normal activities is much quicker than a classic facelift.
